Max has dropped the highly anticipated final trailer for The Last of Us Season 2, officially confirming a June 2026 premiere. The trailer shows Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) on a collision course set five years after Season 1, with devastated Seattle providing the backdrop for the new chapter.

What to expect in season 2

Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have confirmed the season adapts the second half of the acclaimed video game The Last of Us Part II across 7 episodes. Key elements from the source material — the Jackson settlement, the WLF conflict, and the Seraphites — have all been confirmed to appear. The cast also includes new additions Catherine O'Hara and Danny Ramirez.
